Hellabrunn
Zoo is located at 30 Tierpark Street. The
zoo is located right near the Isar River. They have
tired to make this zoo feel as natural the animals
as possible. The fences don’t get in the way
of viewing and they have really attempted to make
the animals feel at ease here.
This is a perfect place to come with children or
if you are looking for something that makes you feel
like you aren’t in the city anymore. They offer
rides and shows where you can get up close to animals,
such as an elephant. There is over 4000 animals living
in the park at this time. They do have breeding programs
to help the endangered species.
Children four and under get in free. An adults ticket
cost nine Euros while a child who is fourteen costs
six Euros to get in. The children between four and
fourteen cost 4,50 Euros. There is a small price for
parking also. The park is open October until March
from 9am to 5pm and then April until September the
parks hours change to 8am to 6 pm. If you are looking
on visiting and not having to drive your own car,
the city bus 52 travels right to the park. There is
even a train system that can bring you to the park.
